Jesus only calls his disciples by the term, disciple a couple of times in scripture. In John 8:31 he says if we continue in his word, we are his disciples. And in John 13:35, he says his disciples love one another. That sounds a little like the Great Commandment, Love God and love others. Maybe, when we truly love God and others, we will lay down our lives, and take up our cross. What do you think?
