Why did Jesus tell the disciples to give food to the 5000 people, when he knew they didn’t have any? Jesus was making a point. He calls us to be people who serve others. What we serve comes from God. Jesus even made sure each of the 12 disciples had a basket of food to carry away from this episode. Jesus wanted them to remember what we give counts. What do you give away each day? What would you give more of, if you knew Jesus would provide? Food, money, time, attention? Let Jesus use you today.
